Christianity is more than merely the sum of it’s ethical teachings, but it certainly isn’t not less. Central to Christian faith is faith in a Person—strictly speaking, three persons sharing One Essence—and it from this essence, and in some cases the commands that flow and are consistent with this essence—that form the foundation for Christian values and ethical life. How is all this to be ordred and thought of? Should a serious Christian merely read only the Bible and reject out of hand the alleged insights of the that are thought to have emerged from the discipline of axiology and ethics? Has God revealed morea laws to humans apart from special revelation and if so, to what extent?
