Metaphysics

Aristotle, after his treatise on Physics, called what followed the Metaphysics (or after physics).  What has been called the study of being qua being has evolved into a family of related inquiries into things such as the nature of existence, truth, universals, identity, the self, causation, free will & determinism, etc.  (See an expanded list with short bibliographies in the metaphysics readings section.)

This portion is devoted to providing resources for helping you gain a better and better grasp of these ideological coins of the realm.  A great many issues turn on arguments discussed herein and to overlook the historical and analytical discussions about them is to give yourself a serious handicap in sophisticated conversations.   On the other hand, it is surprising the number of disagreements that can be resolved or at least clarified by its mastery.

So it is to a careful study (tutors suggested) you are commended in order to advance your capabilities in explaining and defending the faith.
